WRAP Field Trip Blog

The field trip was great. I mean it was good to see how the location of the tower even tho it look more dangerous than where we would put ours. The electrical systems were cool and I just thought overall it was a good field trip.

Human Sex Slaves

"In the dictionary, the definition of slavery is the "state of one bound in servitude." If someone sells you to someone else, is that not slavery? If someone forces you to do things against your will and you are not allowed to leave, is that not slavery? Then I ask you why, when pimps traffic young women and girls on the streets of America, isn't this a form of modern-day slavery?" In what world is this ok? Apparently in ours but parents really shouldn't even let there kids talk to older more wiser people. Yes sometimes for parents it's really uncontrollable because if you tell a kid not to do something he/she is just gonna turn right around and do it anyways. For some odd reason just because us as young adults or upcoming children ( I say us because highschoolers do this ALOT) think we can do whatever in the hell we want to do and not get caught because we are just so slick. I pulled this quote out of the article because its really asking how could people let a child or anyone be enslaved. In the Ted talk what got me was how could grown men rape and sexually abuse a child. How could parents sell there child for money? How could you sell yourself for money? I thought anybody would have more self respect than to sink so low as to sell yourself or sink even lower and sell your child. Just when you do things like that I really don't think I could continue living knowing my child is out there being raped.

Book Soundtrack

Mary J Blidge No More Drama
I feel that this song went well with the theme of the book because there were plenty of times in the book where people could have changed the way Hannah felt but instead they just caused her more drama.

Protagonist Clay
Enrique Iglesias Hero
I really chose this song for my protagonist because of most of the lyrics that are in the song. Because of how Clay just wanted to be there for her and how he really wanted to just help her because he didn't want her to commit suicide.

Chris Brown Don't Judge Me
I picked this song for Hannah because there are times in the book where people say things about her or end up doing something to her, because of what they heard about her from other people. Then people end up on the tapes.

Mary J Blidge Fade Away
I picked this song because it fit the climax of the story. It's when clay hears his story and finds out who has the other set of tapes. And it really just seemed like he wanted to fade away for leaving Hannah.

Overall Song
Soundtrack Drama Vol 1
I felt this instrumental went well with this song because it kind of starts calm like in the book and then it gets like more interesting.

substitue day

There aren't really things I could say about this class. Why? Because math really doesn't bother me. Like i used to be in Pre-Cal so dealing with it is nothing but understanding probabilities are just crazy. That's really the only thing i really could say that i dislike is the probabilities. We do talk about sports which do interest me and how we can relate math to sports is cool. Like yesterday how we played plinco that was actually really cool and easy to get. I'm not saying that everything should be easy because it shouldn't be, but i am saying i don't have any complaints or problems with this class at all. This class is different than other math classes Ive had before but its not like a huge difference. We did probability in other classes but math in this class is just probabilities so it's not so bad.

Wrap blog solar energy

2.  Based on your personal energy consumption, where could you save some money?
On the electricity bill and food consumption
3.  Does solar energy make sense for your home?  Why or why not?
It does because of how much electricity is being used a day
4.  Would you be more likely to purchase a home that had solar energy installed?  Why or why not?
Yes, to get my electric bill to be low even though I'm paying money up front.
5.  What is the likely path that the United States will take with respect to solar energy production?
They might actually start putting t on house to try and save electricity or if not companies and others will start using solar energy more.
6.  What would have to happen before you would make an investment in solar energy for your energy consumption?
I would have to get a lot of money before I would put solar on my house.

Response to Jaquan's Article

Nigerian gunmen 'kill Mubi students'

"The lecturer, who did not want his name to be used, told the BBC's Hausa service that men in military uniform asked the students to line up and then say their names.
Some were then shot dead and others stabbed with knives, and their bodies left in lines outside the buildings.
The lecturer says it is not clear why some were killed and others spared - some of those killed were Muslims and others Christian."

Why would you ask high school students (well it seems these students might be in high school) but anyways why would you want to kill students who haven't even finished growing yet. That's like me going to kill some 8th or 9th graders just because they live down the street from me. Even if its to make some kind of example you know like you see in movies. For example like in the newest batman movie why Fo to the movie theater just to kill people who hasn't done anything wrong. I don't understand what the world is coming to. No it's not that I don't know what it's coming to I just can't believe it's happening..

10 Smartphone Habits You Should Avoid
By Brenna Ehrlich and Andrea Bartz

"This is the illusion which might cheat us of being in touch deeply with the one breathing next to us."
 By Anais Nin

Do you really think people can tell you everything and you learn new things about people, I agree with this quote but in others ways I disagree too. Yes phones have taken a lot of things from us especially meeting people face to face. Now we just communicate through people by text and in a lot of ways thats not a good way to communicate. Maybe it's okay between friends but I don't text my girlfriend much I mean sure when I'm in school but when I get out I call so we can talk or I oovoo her. In 13 Reasons Why nobody really texted and people communicated by going to their friends house. Back in the day my grandfather he used to run from his house all the way to see the love of his life (which obviously is my grandmother) but he basically ran from one side of Waynesboro to the other. Our communication skills could be going down the drain because all people do is text, most people don't spend much time actually talking.....

WRAP

Healthcare is a growing job because most injured people can't make it from their house to the hospital and they don't have enough hospital beds in a hospital to keep people in it for more than a month or so.

Blogging about yesterday

Yesterday was interesting. Seeing how people are now a days and how bad the world really is. How bad waynesboro really is. It's just crazy that our judicial system is like this I really think it sucks really badly. Like if you have seen the movie Law Abiding Citizen, our judicial system really just sucks. How can you just lock a rapist up for only a couple of years that crazy! A police officer goes into a sex offenders house and never goes to the backyard... That same police officer came by his house 60 times and never has he gone to the backyard just to take a look and to find an underage child. It's just ridiculous how things are and it ruins children's lives, or everybody's life in general. I really just wish things were done differently.

WRAP IAL

EAT FOR HEALTH

Choose fresh vegetables and fruits, grains, dry beans and dairy for home-cooked meals, and reduce your consumption of meats. Meat production takes enormous amounts energy and water, and is more expensive for consumers as compared to vegetarian options. Buy in bulk to further reduce costs.

WALK OR BIKE

Save gas and reduce air pollution by walking or biking to work and weekend errands. You'll get valuable exercise on your commute. For greater distances, take public transportation or carpool with friends and coworkers.

CLEAN GREEN

Mix your own nontoxic household cleaning products from materials you probably already have in your home. Different combinations of baking soda, white vinegar, vegetable-based soap and water clean kitchen and bathrooms surfaces, windows, floors, metal surfaces, dishes and laundry.

Aurasma

With the hologram things you could send then to video game people to make the game even more realistic then it already is or you could send them to the military and let them use them to send messages between husband and wife or family members or the military could use them when they go on missions and cool things like that.

Book Reaction

Well for 13 Reasons Why the book was actually really good. I kept asking myself what really did clay do and what number is he? I swore up and down he was number 13 but he wasn't haha and the way he described himself in each situation I knew he didn't do anything bad. So it was really a good book it kept me guessing and everything.

WRAP Inventions

Most likely: Millenium Computer Watch

Least likely: Eye Computer

Which one would i invest money in?
Well there are 2 I would really invest my money in. I would invest my money in the Millenium Computer Watch and the Eco-Jet Pack well because really I can see anybody in the world actually making those things happen in real life just because the idea of it became real and things in that nature.

Wrap Technology

Transportation in general really I guess is what I like about technology. 20 years in the past I'm pretty sure we still had cars like from the Ford and Chevy companies. I think we still had coal trains and we began transporting a bunch of people by train like in subways and things. But if you want to go back at least 20more years before that we had just start getting cars but they didn't go any faster than at least 35 mph. Now we have cars that go way faster than that now.

Blog post of the last 2 weeks

Welp hahaha these last 2 weeks have been crazy, haha you know it's just been a lot of work but that's what is expected of us in every way and its just been a great way on understanding things and like we won last night haha so I'm looking forward to our next steps.

Books I'd like to read

Dark Places
Defending Jacob
Fugitives: Escape from Furnace
Walking Dead series
13 reasons why
I Am Number Four series

WRAP

3 things I'm passionate about.

Faith
Hardwork
Just things that come up in life. Like the American Dream.

My passion for Hardwork is different then others because the harder you work in life then when you get a job it's nothing different. I've seen my grandfather go day to day coming home from work. A 62 year old man still having to work just to keep food on the table. I enjoy working hard, maybe not in school most of the time, but outside of school I guess it's just different. There are 2 things I keep with me at all times no matter where I go and it's no matter what happens "finish the job correctly" and "leave it better than you found it" it's that right there that makes you want to just keep going no matter how tired. When you face tough things like that it makes you a better person and in a public view it's like people see you as a hard worker and it's just the image I like upholding.

First Book Reaction

When I first started to read my book it was very interesting. I am also reading 2 books but one is a survival guide. I have always thought of what I would do in the event of an Zombie Apocalypse. Now that i can read the survival guide and a read a book about being in a zombie apocalypse its I can actually see what they do and read what the guide says to do and see how things work out so maybe for me I can think of different things. Well really in any kind of apocalypse the people of the world will really be put against each other for food, gas, water, cleaning supplies, etc. Most people in the world only think about their self or when it comes down to "doing what you need to do" that's not really the case. When you see other survivers in any case you should want to help them first, give them what you can whether it be food, or whatever at least try to lend a helping hand and then they can choose whether they should move on or not. But in the case of the book people in this situation, once they see one of their loved ones get turned into something else and they have to either kill them or let them live and then they kill others then it's like man the whole human race will turn on every body no matter what the situation and when you really think about things in life what would you want? Would you rather people to help you in your time of need or let you go on suffering because they don't want to help you, because you could potentially be a threat? The biggest thing is really treat people the way you would want to be treated, because there will be a time where you will be in need and if you treat people badly, how can you even consider having anyone treat you the way you would want to be treated.
